PURPL is a peer-to-peer training company for internal recruiters at start-ups, scale-ups and technology companies.

They provide a powerful platform for internal acquisition teams at early stage and scaling technology companies to upskill, fill knowledge gaps and bring industry best practices into their organisation.

When PURPL founder Joe Atkinson launched the company, he wanted to create a product he would love to have had himself when he worked in recruitment teams.

“Typically training for recruitment has been split between internal and agency, therefore a lot of the training is very corporate-focused” explained Joe. “Recruiting for fast-growing companies is unique and we believed that an individual and tailored training solution for these recruiters made sense.”

“The types of companies we work with have a clean, fresh and modern approach to how they do things, and we wanted our learning platform to reflect that.” Joe explained, “I found a lot of the platforms that we looked at in the beginning were quite ‘old hat’ in terms of how they looked and felt.”

“Straight away the UI of Thirst stood out and seemed really clean and modern – it immediately made sense how to use it from a learner’s perspective,” Joe explained.

But it was more than just Thirst’s good looks that caught Joe’s eye.

“We have lots of different users, courses, and users across different companies using the platform.” Joe said, “We needed a solution that could house multiple content types in a way that would make them easy to find – Thirst ticked that box!”

Thirst captures and analyses user behaviour and engagement and makes recommendations based on those interactions, as we enter an era where proving impact and ROI are everything, Joe and the team leverage the data to gain a deeper understanding of trends and the types of content their users want to learn more about.
